TIGER WALNUT
 Front: Heavily tiger striped piece. About a 3/4"
maximum white wood edge ribbon that tapers quickly
to 1/4".  Also one 3/8" bark inclusion 12" from an
end. Board has a 1/8", or less bow.

Back: Some dark staining at both ends, but no white
wood.  Also some checking at one end too.

2 BOARD SET
Curly
Black Walnut
 Fronts:  Both boards are more heavily figured along
one edge the the other. You could rip both at
5"xlength to maximize the figure intensity.  This
would also dump the edge knot on the 29" long board.
 There is still a narrow band of white wood on each
though. The 29" piece has a 1/16" wobble.

Backs: Pretty much the same as the fronts, but the
31" piece has a knot that would still be showing even
if you rip to 5" wide as mentioned in the front
description. Priced this set at 5" x their lengths.

 Front: Heavy wide open figure on this piece.  Edge
knot is not included in the width of this board as the
actual width is 6" wide.  Knot rips away at 5-1/4"
wide, or cross-cuts out at 6"x27", or 6"x35"

Back: A little more white wood on the ends, but
otherwise like the front.  I can save you $8.00 in UPS
surcharges if this is cut to 59", or less.  Let me know
if you would like it cut.

 Front: Almost 100% black with moderate figure. One
6" long, narrow band of sapwood riding an edge. Also
a 1/8"x3/4" long bark inclusion 28" from an end.

Back: An open bark inclusion at the middle of the
board, and some lesser ones as well.  Probably face
only.

same chevron figure.  I am pretty certain I cut these
from the same board.

but I think the back is about as nice as the front.  The
16" board is good two sides as well.  The 20" board
has bark pockets, so this one is face only.

 Front:  100% black piece.  Two small pencil dot bark
pockets near the ends.  These can be easily filled, and
will be invisible once done so.
Back: The one end is split on this side.  If you have
me cut it to 59" for you I will cut this end off, and the
split will be gone. One bark pocket like the front, but
this one has a split running through it as well.  Rest of
the plank is clear. I can save you $8.00 on the UPS
surcharge if you have me cut this to 59".

The wood you sent came in the mail
yesterday.  It looks really nice.  Thanks for
the extra piece, I will find a good use for
it, but it won't be thrown at the TV.  I don't
get as emotional about the Browns as I did
when I was a kid.  I find I am less likely to
be disappointed that way.  Our day will
come.  Good luck dealing with all the
Pittsburgh fans.  A wordworking friend of
mine a few years ago suggested I let my
mother in law's comments roll off my back
"like water on the back of a duck".  She is
easier to deal with now that I don't pay too
much attention to what she says, and I
smile more.  The next time I need some
curly maple, I know I will check with you
first since I bookmarked your website on
