 Fronts: Cut from the same plank.  

Backs: The 25" board has some worm tracks
along an edge, and some sticker shadows.  The
longer one has some staining that is right in the
middle of the board.  Probably a good idea to
consider as a face only set.

light surface checks.  None longer than 1/4", and
all are pencil line thin. Maybe 2,or 3 of them. I bet
they close up when there is more humidity in the
air.  We are very dry indoors this time of year.
Back:  I see no checks on this side, but I think the
other side is slightly more figured than this side.  
Either side could be the face.  I can save you

We rarely find curly oak, but to find it not only curly but 1/4 sawn too, almost impossible!
It is tough to for your eyes to focus on these boards. They not only have the rays and
flaking of quarter sawn oak, but also the angular striping of tiger oak.

a little planer miss.The short piece has a 1/8"
wobble.

The wood you sent came in the mail
yesterday.  It looks really nice.  Thanks for
the extra piece, I will find a good use for
it, but it won't be thrown at the TV.  I don't
get as emotional about the Browns as I did
when I was a kid.  I find I am less likely to
be disappointed that way.  Our day will
come.  Good luck dealing with all the
Pittsburgh fans.  A wordworking friend of
mine a few years ago suggested I let my
mother in law's comments roll off my back
"like water on the back of a duck".  She is
easier to deal with now that I don't pay too
much attention to what she says, and I
smile more.  The next time I need some
curly maple, I know I will check with you
first since I bookmarked your website on
my toolbar.  Thanks for making it so easy.
