Rustic Hemlock - Sale
Below is listed some rustic hemlock barn planking rescued by my Amish friend,
Roman, from a barn built in the 1870's in Westford, PA. These boards have
everything you would expect from lumber that was nailed inside a barn for over
140 years. Knots, splits, nail holes, and also worm holes.  Own a piece of
American history. The hemlock was used as the exterior siding.  They have heavy,
deep grain lines that can only be achieved when weathered for over 100 years.
Roman has 9 kids. He likes to say they are spaced every 9 months, 15 minutes. He
needs the money, so every dime goes back to him.

Front: I am selling these for my Amish friend,
Roman. You may know him as the guy that mills
out my lumber.  He just had his 9th kid (7boys),
so all of the money will go directly to him. I
would say he needs it.
These boards are taken off a barn that was built
in Westford Pennsylvania in the year 1877. We
are pretty sure these boards are hemlock.  They
all have DEEP grain lines and all are dark grey.
Kinda what you would look like if you were
hung on a barn for 134 years!  All the nails have
been removed. It took 134 years of brutal
winters, and scorching summers to make these
boards.  Buy a piece of American history.
Roman also has a little more of these too.  He
also has some giant white oak sleepers taken
from the same barn.  These would cut up into
some one-of-a-kind flooring.  I can put him in
contact with you if you are interested in the
beams.

Rustic Chestnut
Below is listed some rustic chestnut barn planking rescued by my Amish friend,
Roman, from a barn built in the 1870's in Westford, PA. These boards have
everything you would expect from lumber that was nailed inside a barn for over
140 years. Knots, splits, nail holes, and also worm holes. The worm holes actually
add value as wormy chestnut sell at a premium, if you can find it. Own a piece of
American history. Chestnut is now extinct. All that is left is salvaged lumber like
this. The chestnut was inside the barn so they were never weathered Roman has 9
kids. He likes to say they are spaced every 9 months, 15 minutes. He needs the
money, so every dime goes back to him.

Dear Kevin,

Thank you for that fine piece of curly maple
and those extra cutoffs. The grain on that
piece of maple is going to make for an
excellent stock. Your shipping was very fast
and was very securely packaged. I will
definitely recommend you to anyone that
wants quality wood. Thanks again.

Sincerely,

Kevin,

I got my shipment yesterday. Thanks
for sending it so quickly, I also
appreciate the extra board you sent.
I will certainly find a use for it. The
material will suit my needs perfectly.
Thanks for making buying from you
such a good experience.

Kevin,

Thanks for the prompt
shipment.  The wood is
beautiful and it arrived in
one day!  Thanks for the free
piece also.  I’ll put it to
good use.  Please let me know
when the (mandolin) neck sized
materials are available as
soon as they are.

Best Regards and Happy
Holidays to you,

George

"After over 40 years of guitar making, I
finally found a curly maple supplier who
knows exactly what I'm looking for.
My quest for a dependable supplier is
finally over!"

Friendly, very helpful, prompt
service. Items exactly as described...

Excellent product, service and shipping

Excellent piece! Wood is exactly as described
every time, A+++

Dear Kevin,
The wood you sent came in the mail
yesterday.  It looks really nice.  Thanks for
the extra piece, I will find a good use for
it, but it won't be thrown at the TV.  I don't
get as emotional about the Browns as I did
when I was a kid.  I find I am less likely to
be disappointed that way.  Our day will
come.  Good luck dealing with all the
Pittsburgh fans.  A wordworking friend of
mine a few years ago suggested I let my
mother in law's comments roll off my back
"like water on the back of a duck".  She is
easier to deal with now that I don't pay too
much attention to what she says, and I
smile more.  The next time I need some
curly maple, I know I will check with you
first since I bookmarked your website on
my toolbar.  Thanks for making it so easy.

Dallas
Dear Kevin;

This is just a quick note to thank
you for your help with the curly
red oak that you supplied me
with.  I made a Victorian table
with your wood, and entered it in
an Equipment Manufacturer's
National Contest.  I won first
place.

It certainly helped to win first
place by having the special wood
that I was looking for to get the
table done.  I appreciate all your
personal help in going through
that big pile to select it, and get
it out for me.  Not to mention:
helping me with the shipping
claim, after it was damaged by
the shipper with some machinery,
AND when I ran short on wood
you coming through with enough
to match it, so that I could finish
my project.

Thanks again for all your
personal service, and supplying
the wood that allowed me to win
first place.

Kindest Regards,

Tom Webster
Note:
All wood is surfaced at least two sides (S2S)
or more if noted.
