Has a small open knot along an edge, 43-1/2" to 44" from an end and is 14-3/4" off an edge.
Has a small divot, 1~1/8" deep, and is 57-3/4" to 58-1/4" from an end, and is 6-3/4" off an edge
Back: Similar to front just some minor edge planer miss

Quartersawn White Oak, Quercus alba

Displays dramatic medullar figure called flake or fleck, and you'll see this used in antiques medullary ray flecks
Additional aesthetics include wavy and interlocked grains. Structural benefits to quarter sawn oak include that it 
reduces twisting, warping and cupping, holds finishes better, and does not allow liquids to readily pass through it.
A quarter sawn piece radiates elegance and traditional beauty making it an heirloom

Please note all wood is flat sawn, face jointed flattened, planed and edge jointed unless otherwise noted. 
Wood has been dried in a Nyle kiln to 6% to 8% moisture content.
